Frequently asked questions
How do I join your plan?
It’s easy. We will ask you to fill in a registration form, a Direct Debit mandate and a DPAS authorisation form. (DPAS is our maintenance plan administrator.)
What happens in an emergency?
You will have access to a 24 hour, 365 day worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme helpline. Operators will endeavour to find an English-speaking dentist to assist you.
How does the maintenance plan work?
We have joined with DPAS Limited to design a dental plan to reward loyal patients.
It will be administered by DPAS who will make a separate arrangement with you to manage your payments under the plan.
This allows us to plan your dental care more effectively, and allows you to budget while giving yourself the best chance of staying dentally fit.
What else do I need to know?
In addition to your first monthly payment, an initial registration fee of £10 per person will be payable by you to DPAS and will be included in your first Direct Debit payment.
The plan will last for at least 12 months. If you cancel before the end of this period, you may be invoiced for any discount you received on a treatment. After the initial 12 months, simply give us one month’s notice if you wish to cancel your plan.
Terms are subject to change without notice.

What does the Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme provide?
With our dental plan you are eligible to request assistance from the Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme for dental emergencies or dental traumas, while you’re at home or abroad.
How does the scheme work?
If you suffer a dental trauma, a dental emergency or are diagnosed with oral cancer while a member of the scheme you can make a request for assistance, which will be dealt with on a wholly discretionary basis.
Circumstances in which the scheme is not designed to help (similar to insurance policy exclusions), are explained in their handbook.
What would it cover?
If your request is accepted you’ll be eligible to receive benefit payments for the following (up to the limits set):
- The cost of dental treatment by any dentist, up to a maximum of £10,000, for any one incident of dental trauma
- The cost of emergency call-outs, pain relief or emergency temporary treatment
- A specified amount for each 24-hour period of hospitalisation under the care of a dental or maxillofacial surgery specialist
- A specified amount if you’re diagnosed with oral cancer and this is the primary cancer site.
Please refer to the scheme handbook for full details.
The Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme is operated by Worldwide Assistance Ltd (Company No. 10907861), a company registered in England and Wales.
It is not an insurance product and is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
